The Cansanity

Cansanity
When you spend this much time in your kitchen canning fruit, you are bound to have some left over fruit-flavoured simple syrup. One year, my sour cherry tree was so loaded with cherries that I was able to can 42 half-pints of preserves. After all that processing, I ended up with a litre of sour cherry simple syrup left over and the inspiration for The Cansanity - my own take on the Cosmopolitan martini.
